Best Ball - Week 2 Recap

Article Written by Gordo.

I have one word for you.  Sproles.  This guy just exploded all over the Colts.  I just wish he was on a team that mattered this week.

Week 2 Final Results
  1. Dan's Team scored 184.5 points
  2. Team Gordo scored 173 points
  3. Stonecutters scored 165 points
  4. Colin2410 scored 155.5 points
  5. Team Juice scored 150 points
  6. Lefty scored 145 points
  7. Sarcastaball scored 132.5 points
  8. Mike's Team scored 126.5 points
  9. Itchy_Hungry scored 117 points
  10. Jeff's Team scored 111.5 points
I decided to dig a little deeper into the stats to shed some light on the strengths and weaknesses throughout the league by listing the best and worst at each position as well as the total points scored per team by position.  I think Team Juice deserves some kind of prize for fielding the best and worst receivers this week.  Sarcastaball is in dire need of a TE and a bye week kicker.  Dan's Team scored more points with his TEs than anyone did with their running backs.  And the best "player" this week was a team Defense...Just look and see for yourself.

Best WR Group: Stonecutters - 63.5 pts
Worst WR Group: Mike's Team - 27 pts
Best TE Group: Dan's Team - 56.5 pts
Worst TE Group: Sarcastaball - 0.0 pts

After two weeks we're already beginning to see a rift growing between the top half and the bottom half of the league.  At this point there is a difference of 113.5 pts between first and last place but only 65.5 pts between 6th and dead last.  One thing I can see here is that boom/bust play will far out weigh consistent play; Delanie Walker & Antonio Gates came out of nowhere and delivered huge.  The same can be said for Darren Sproles and a handful of team Defenses.  Don't get mad though...it's all luck any given week.  But, a little bit of preseason research could go a long way.

League Standings - After 2 Weeks
  1. Dan's Team - 343.0
  2. Team Juice - 329.5
  3. Colin2410 - 324.5
  4. Lefty - 323.0
  5. Team Gordo - 316.0
  6. Stonecutters - 295.0
  7. Mike's Team - 278.5
  8. Sarcastaball - 257.5
  9. Itchy_Hungry - 249.5
  10. Jeff's Team - 229.5
Best of luck this coming week!
