<looking at scores>
They weren't close...Well except for Dan's Team who basically sat pretty waiting for the week to end. Read on to see how much difference a day makes.
Final Standings - Week 1
- Team Juice scored 179.5 points
- (+12) The Lions' Stafford and Bell really came through for Team Juice boosting his score by 12 pts total, allowing him to take the lead by half a point.
- Lefty scored 179 points
- (0) Lefty was really looking for Bush to have a big game Monday night to keep what seemed like a strangle hold on first place, but unfortunately he fell short of the 17.5 pts needed to stay in first.
- Colin2410 scored 169 points
- (+6) I think Rashad Jennings surprised a lot of people after a strong performance on Monday night. Unfortunately for Colin2410 the 6 pt improvement did next to nothing to close the gab between 3rd and 1st.
- Dan's Team scored 158.5 points
- (+1) Although Antonio Gates
delivered for Dan's Team, it only offered a measly 1 pt improvement which leave's them alone in 4th place over 20 pts out of first. - Mike's Team scored 152 points
- (+27.5) I take back what I said about you earlier. Calvin Johnson had his way with the Giants all game and Mike's point spike of over 27 pts is the proof. I hope Megatron doesn't do this every week or Mike's Team will knock Team Juice off the pedestal by the end of the next Lions game.
- Team Gordo scored 143 points
- (+10.0) Where was Philip Rivers? He only needed to break 21 pts to help Team Gordo fend off...fifth place? Talk about shooting for the stars. As much as I would want to blame Rivers, Team Gordo needed a huge night out of all three remaining players if he was to stand a chance of rising in the ranks. Good luck next week when you drop to 9th.
- Itchy_Hungry scored 132.5 points
- (+7.5) Michael Floyd and Victor Cruz did just enough to keep Itchy_Hungry in 7th place. How exciting...to be 47 pts out of 1st place. Good thing this is only week 1.
- Stonecutters scored 130 points
- (0) There was very little chance that Monday night's game would have made much of a difference for Stonecutters. At this rate you just want to stay close to the pack. But, Woodhead's lackluster performance left Stonecutters out of contention for maintaining or rising from 6th place, and dropped him to 8th.
- Sarcastaball scored 125 points
- (0) What's so great about a draft only league is you actually can blame everything on the draft rather than complaining about bogus trades or waiver wire sniping, or anything else related to team management. Sarcastaball needed a big night out of his top receivers but they had other plans. Keenan Allen and Larry Fitz were useless. Let's hope we don't end up saying the same for Sarcastaball's drafting prowess.
- Jeff's Team scored 118 points
- (+14.5) Maybe next time little guy <pats Jeff's Team on head>.
Can't wait until next week when we get to do nothing about this all over again, as Team Juice continues to climb and we sit there helpless to do anything because we thought, "yeah a draft only league would be great cause you always field your best team." You and everybody else...
Even with Bush putting up shitty numbers I am still doing better than the majority of you.
